Life has been insane, graduating college, trying to find a summer job, and working at the Comcast Center and The Wilbur Theatre.
But I just added something else to my plate, with the help of my friend Lindsay, Ice Cream Adventures.
Lindsay and I are going to spend this summer going to ALL the ice cream places in the general South Coast Massachusetts area. Trust me, there are dozens. Inspired by a traumatic experience at Free Ice Cream Day at the South Dartmouth Friendlys, Lindsay and I are out to find the best ice cream spot around.
The inaugural journey took us to Country Whip in Acushnet, MA.
Country Whip is an ice cream place just on the other side of Rochester, a scenic drive through farms brings you to the goodness that is homemade ice cream and a plentiful selection of soft serve flavors and hard flavors. The Whip was bumping, just as bumping as Free Ice Cream Day. Baffled by the epic assortment of flavors and lured by the waffle cones, Lindsay and I were clearly going to enjoy ourselves.
I went with the Coffee Kahlua Brownie.
EPIC
Lin went with the aptly named WHITE THUNDER. Which is actually pink, white chocolate raspberry filled candy and raspberry goo in vanilla ice cream
.
The waffle cones were huge and we could barely finish them....
Any suggestions for ice cream spots on the south coast as we make our list?
